Job Overview
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hotel, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role will also involve periodic visits to Spark by Hilton Romford to support financial processes and maintain alignment across the properties. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead a small finance team while collaborating with hotel management to support business growth.
What will I be doing?
- Manage all financial operations of the hotel including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, statements, and forecasts
- Monitor budget performance, cost control, and profitability
- Ensure compliance with Hilton financial policies, procedures, and local statutory requirements
- Work closely with the hotel management team to provide financial insights and recommendations for operational decisions
- Visit Spark by Hilton Romford periodically to review financial processes, support reporting, and ensure alignment between properties
- Create and develop financial standards and procedures to safeguard hotel assets
To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience in hotel or hospitality finance management preferred
- Experience using Fourth Payroll and Xero is favourable but not essential.
- Experience using PEP (Property Engagement Platform) would be favourable but not essential.
- Ability to create new financial processes for a hotel opening.
- Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to travel periodically to Spark by Hilton Romford as required
