CMC Consulting have partnered with a growing international brand who are looking to strengthen their finance function with the addition of a Finance Manager. Supporting the finance team, you will assist in the production of the monthly management accounts for the UK & Overseas entities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations across overseas entities, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, compliance and financial control.
- Partner closely with non-finance and the wider Operations team, providing financial support, insight and guidance across the business.
- Lead the month-end close process alongside the Management Accounts team, preparing financial results and delivering meaningful commentary on performance and key variances.
- Collaborate with the HR team to manage monthly payroll activities, ensuring accurate processing, reporting and payment of salaries, pensions and payroll taxes.
- Support the FP&A team with annual budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes, providing financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Act as a key contact during the annual audit process, coordinating deliverables and managing relationships with external auditors.
- Work closely with the Construction team to maintain an accurate fixed asset register and ensure appropriate accounting treatment of hotels under development.
- Oversee VAT returns and other local tax obligations, including city taxes and real estate taxes, ensuring compliance with all statutory deadlines.
- Administer the banking platform, maintaining strong controls around payment runs, cash management activities and treasury processes.
- Manage relationships with external accounting and tax advisors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and timely completion of all compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of statutory accounts and corporate tax returns, working alongside external providers to meet all filing deadlines.
- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
- Support the ongoing development of the finance function, with the opportunity to mentor and manage junior finance team members as the team grows.
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or part-qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Proven experience producing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation, accruals, prepayments, and journal posting experience.
- Confident business partnering with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience supporting audits, statutory reporting, and compliance processes.
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills with excellent attention to detail.
