Finance Director - TV Media Production - Hybrid
London | £120,000 + Bonus
A leading UK content production business is looking for a Finance Director to join at a pivotal point in its evolution.
Backed by a major international media group, the business has an outstanding track record of creating highly successful television content and is now entering an exciting new phase under a recently appointed leadership team. With ambitious growth plans, a renewed focus on developing new formats and revenue streams, and a desire to strengthen commercial decision-making, this is a rare opportunity to make a genuine impact.
Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO, you'll act as a strategic finance partner while leading the continued development of the finance function. This is a highly visible role with responsibility for financial leadership, governance, reporting, commercial analysis, production finance oversight, and supporting future growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and COO to support strategic planning and growth initiatives
- Provide commercial insight, business cases and financial analysis to support investment decisions
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
- Review and enhance the finance function, ensuring it is fit for future growth
- Develop financial controls, governance and reporting frameworks
- Oversee monthly management reporting, board reporting, audit and compliance activities
- Partner with production and operational teams to improve visibility of production economics, margins and cashflow
- Deliver meaningful financial and operational insight to support decision making across the business
- Build strong relationships across the organisation and parent group
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven Finance Director, Head of Finance or a strong Number Two ready to step up
- Experience within TV production, media, entertainment, content, creative or project-based businesses
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience improving processes, controls and reporting within a growing or changing business
- Hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear business insight
