As our organisation continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Finance Director to join our Senior Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in our ongoing success.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Board, the Finance Director will lead the finance function and take overall responsibility for the financial health, strategy and governance of the organisation. This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision\-making, support sustainable growth and help ensure we continue delivering outstanding services for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring robust financial management across the organisation.


• Develop and implement long\-term financial strategy and planning.


• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial performance reporting.


• Produce monthly management accounts and Board\-level reports with meaningful financial insights.


• Oversee statutory accounts, audit processes, tax compliance and financial governance.


• Support business growth through financial modelling, investment appraisal and commercial analysis.


• Manage banking relationships, funding arrangements and financial risk.


• Work closely with operational leaders to drive performance and value for money across services.

About You

We are seeking a qualified and experienced finance professional who can balance strategic thinking with a hands\-on approach.

Essential

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).


• Significant experience operating at Finance Director, Head of Finance or equivalent senior level.


• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial reporting.


• Experience presenting financial information to Boards and senior stakeholders.


• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.


• Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills.
