Are you a senior finance leader with excellent modelling skills,
a strong FP&A background and comfort leading operations within a
scale-up business? Aila is exclusively partnered with a fantastic
scale-up tech firm in London as they look to appoint an FP&A
centric, strategic finance leader to join as their Finance
Director.

About the Company:

• A backed tech business that has grown through acquisition as

well as organically, with more deals to come

• A team of under 100 across the UK and mainland Europe,

operating across multiple international markets

• A strong customer base alongside a growing network of

commercial partners

The Role:

As the Finance Director, you'll be the number one in Finance,
reporting directly to the CEO and own the financial direction of
the business, including the budget, forecast, revenue, and the
3-5-year plan with a strong M&A focus. You'll be the CEO's
thought partner on strategy and deals, and over time take on more
of the investor and board relationships as the business continues
to grow.

You'll lead the Finance team, including a strong Group Financial
Controller and their team who own month-end, statutory and group
reporting, freeing you to focus on strategy, modelling, M&A and
investor relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the annual budget and rolling forecasts, making sure every

team understands its budget

• Own revenue planning and reporting across direct and partner

channels, helping the business understand what moves it

• Build and own the 3-5-year plan, including margins, runway and

burn

• Work with the CEO and leadership group on where to invest,

where to cut back, and how to grow profitably

• Work alongside the CEO on acquisitions: modelling, due

diligence, and making deals work once they're done

• Prepare board and investor reporting, support future funding

rounds, and take on more of the investor relationship over time

• Lead and develop the Finance team, keeping financial controls

and governance strong across the group's UK and European entities

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience leading finance as a Finance Director or a senior

finance lead ready for the step up

• A strong technical background included in FP&A and strategic

finance experience

• Start-up or scale-up operating experience, not only corporate

or advisory

• Strong forecasting, modelling and long-range planning skills,

with the ability to turn numbers into clear decisions

• Enjoys leading a team and is happy to roll their sleeves up in

a lean set-up

• An appetite for M&A and investor work, whether you've done it

before

• Multi-country experience and speaking a European language in

addition to English is highly desirable

What they Offer:

• Salary of £130,000-£160,000.
