The Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to oversee financial operations across both Active PCB and Garner Osborne Circuits. Reporting to the Group CFO, you will be responsible for ensuring consistency, control, and performance across both businesses’ finance functions.
This is a hands\-on role where you will lead financial delivery, support operational teams, and drive improvements across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee finance operations for both businesses within the group
- Deliver accurate reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Manage cashflow, treasury, and banking relationships
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory requirements
- Improve financial processes and internal controls across both companies
- Provide commercial insight to support operational performance
- Lead and develop the finance team across the group
- Support strategic initiatives and growth plans
Essential Skills \& Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with 8\+ years post\-qualification experience
- Senior finance experience in a UK manufacturing business — ideally contract manufacturing, electronics, or other regulated, low\-to\-mid volume, high\-mix environments
- Strong understanding of standard costing, job costing, and operational variance analysis
- Demonstrable track record of driving margin improvement and working capital reduction
- Experience operating within a group structure with consolidation responsibilities
- Hands\-on experience of UK corporation tax and capital allowances in a manufacturing context
- Comfortable working in a number\-two finance role with operational ownership and clear escalation to a CFO
- Direct experience in PCB assembly, EMS, or wider electronics manufacturing
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or other regulated quality systems and their commercial implications
- ERP system implementation or upgrade experience (Business Central, NetSuite, or similar)
- Exposure to M\&A diligence or integration workstreams

Pay: £45,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
