Are you a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting out from behind the numbers and working closely with operational teams?

We are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join a successful and growing business within the fresh produce sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a pivotal role in improving commercial performance, supporting key business decisions and providing meaningful financial insight across the organisation.

The Role

Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you will act as a key link between finance and the wider business.

Responsibilities will include:

Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders to drive improved financial performance

Providing insightful analysis around margin, profitability, pricing, costs and operational performance

Preparing budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans

Developing and monitoring KPIs to identify trends, risks and opportunities

Analysing product, customer and channel profitability

Supporting commercial decisions through scenario modelling and financial analysis

Challenging operational performance and identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies

Supporting month-end reporting and providing meaningful commentary on results

Monitoring performance against budget and investigating key variances

Improving financial reporting, processes and controls

Supporting investment proposals and business cases

Working collaboratively with senior leadership to support the continued growth of the business

About You

We are looking for someone who can combine strong financial expertise with excellent commercial awareness and communication skills.

Ideally, you will:

Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

Have previous experience within FMCG, fresh produce, food manufacturing, manufacturing or another fast-paced product-led environment

Have strong commercial finance or Finance Business Partnering experience

Be confident working directly with operational and non-finance stakeholders

Have excellent analytical skills and be comfortable working with large volumes of data

Understand the key drivers behind margin, cost, pricing and profitability

Be confident challenging stakeholders and influencing commercial decisions

Have strong Excel and financial modelling skills

Be proactive, commercially curious and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
