Finance Business Partner (Projects/Bids)

We are recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join a well-established, project-led engineering organisation.

This is a commercially focused finance role, partnering closely with Project Managers and operational teams to take ownership of the financial performance of a portfolio of projects and bids.

You will:

• Act as the finance lead across designated projects and bids.


• Partner with Project Managers to provide financial insight, challenge and support decision-making.


• Review project actuals, commitments, forecasts, profitability and cash flow.


• Support bid costing, financial assumptions and milestone payment plans.


• Monitor project risks and help identify appropriate recovery actions.


• Deliver regular project forecasting and management reporting.


• Work cross-functionally to improve financial performance, processes and data quality.

We are looking for someone with experience in a project finance, project accounting or project control environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• Experience within engineering, manufacturing or another project-led environment.


• Knowledge of project accounting and IFRS 15.


• Exposure to costing, bidding and project/programme delivery.


• Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.


• Advanced Excel skills.


• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or a relevant degree, would be advantageous.


• S/4HANA experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
