Finance Assistat

We’re working with a well-established Cardiff employer that is looking to add a Finance Assistant to its existing finance team.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who already has some exposure to finance and wants to build broader experience within a busy commercial environment.
You’ll work as part of a small, supportive team and get involved in a good mix of day-to-day finance activity, reporting and month-end support.
What you’ll be doing You’ll help keep the finance function running smoothly by supporting with tasks such as:
- Month-end finance activity
- Account reconciliations
- Reviewing and checking financial information
- Supporting internal reporting
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving queries
- Processing adjustments where required
- Working with colleagues across the business to obtain or clarify financial information
- Supporting senior members of the finance team with reporting and analysis
- General finance administration and ad hoc project work
What we’re looking for You don’t need to be fully qualified or have years of experience.
We’re looking for someone who has a good grounding in finance and, just as importantly, is:
- Comfortable working with numbers and financial information
- Accurate and organised
- Confident using Excel
- Able to communicate clearly over the phone and by email
- Happy working as part of a close-knit team
- Proactive when something doesn’t look right
- Keen to learn and develop their finance experience
