Finance Assistant
FINANCE ASSISTANT – PART TIME – IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE
Venn Group are working with a growing FMCG organisation to recruit a motivated and personal Finance Assistant for their finance team during an exciting period of business transformation. The role would suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant who enjoys a varied position, is comfortable working autonomously, and thrives within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Location: London Bridge
Working Pattern: Part-Time – 3 Days Per Week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
Contract Type: 6 Month +
Day Rate: £150 per day via umbrella
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Raise and issue sales invoices
- Post bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations
- Manage credit control activities and follow up outstanding debt
- Raise customer orders and maintain accurate records
- Investigate and resolve customer deductions, shortages and discrepancies
- Support ad hoc finance and operational activities across the business
- Assist the wider team throughout a significant ERP and systems implementation project
- Maintain accurate financial records and support efficient finance processes
Essential:
- Previous experience within a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar transactional finance role
- Strong understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations
- Experience managing credit control and customer account queries
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- Previous experience within an FMCG environment
- Knowledge of EDI systems
- Experience working within an SME business
