Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Near Maidstone (must be able to drive)
Salary: £25,000 (full-time) with part-time potential (pro rata)
About the Company
We are a well-established, family-run business based near Maidstone, known for our supportive team environment and strong values. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team and hit the ground running.
The Role
This is a hands-on finance role focused on detailed transactional work. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy across invoices, supplier quotes, and remittances, playing a key role in maintaining financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-checking invoices against supplier quotes and remittances
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day tasks
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Communicating with suppliers and internal teams where required
- Minimum 6 months' experience as a Finance Assistant (or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong accuracy skills
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive with a methodical approach to work
- Must be able to drive due to location
- A team player who fits well within a close-knit, family-run environment
- Someone who can quickly get up to speed and add value
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Open to both full-time and part-time applicants
