As Finance Assistant, you will support the Finance team in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of the hotel’s financial operations. You will play a key role in ensuring financial records, reporting and transactions are processed with precision, contributing to a well‑organised and compliant finance function within a luxury hospitality environment. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven and analytical individual who takes pride in accuracy, organisation and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Check figures, postings and documents to ensure accuracy and correct coding
- Maintain and organise financial records, files and documentation in line with company policies
- Input, update and analyse financial data within accounting systems and spreadsheets
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including accounting, auditing and statistical data
- Support period‑end closing procedures and ensure deadlines are met
- Prepare, review and reconcile invoices, billing statements and account records
- Assist with tracking and monitoring financial transactions and variances
- Ensure all financial information is recorded accurately and securely
- Support auditing and reporting processes where required
- Respond to internal and external finance‑related queries professionally and in a timely manner
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information at all times
- Work collaboratively with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Follow all company policies, procedures and compliance standards
We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused professional with a strong analytical mindset. You should have:
- Previous experience in a finance, accounting or administrative role, ideally within hospitality
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive and methodical approach to problem solving
- High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
- Professional presentation and a commitment to high standards
