Finance & Office Manager
Roydon, Essex
Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Roydon Packaging is a well-established manufacturing business and we’re looking for an experienced Finance & Office Manager to take full ownership of the finance function and support the smooth day-to-day running of the office.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone confident working independently in a busy environment.
The Role
You will manage all aspects of company finance, payroll, and associated office and HR administration, acting as a key support to the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and purchase ledger management, including credit control
- Monthly management accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet)
- VAT returns, accruals, prepayments and year-end processes
- Daily banking, payment runs, and reconciliations
- Monthly payroll using Sage Line 50 Payroll and HMRC submissions
- Liaison with auditors, pension providers and insurers
- HR administration including contracts, employee records and systems
- General office management and ad-hoc administrative support
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using Sage Line 50 (Accounts & Payroll)
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Comfortable managing a broad, standalone role
- Professional, reliable and hands-on
- AAT qualified, working towards AAT, or holding a similar qualification is desirable but not essential
