Finance Analyst (Regulatory Reporting)
This role represents a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join a well-established and highly respected financial services organisation and develop their expertise within a specialist regulatory reporting environment.
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will support the delivery of regulatory reporting, finance data management and reporting controls, while gaining exposure to stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and Operations. The position offers an excellent platform for someone looking to build upon existing regulatory reporting experience, develop a deeper understanding of finance data and reporting frameworks, and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities • Prepare and support the submission of regulatory returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery.
- Support the development and maintenance of the regulatory reporting framework, ensuring regulatory returns are delivered accurately, completely and on time.
- Monitor regulatory developments and reporting requirements, helping to ensure reporting processes remain compliant and fit for purpose.
- Maintain and enhance regulatory reporting controls, procedures and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve data quality issues, reporting discrepancies and system exceptions.
- Perform reconciliations between source systems, the general ledger and regulatory reporting outputs.
- Maintain key finance and reporting reference data and support data governance activities.
- Work closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations and Technology teams to resolve reporting and data integrity issues.
- Support system changes, reporting enhancements and testing activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation and controls.
- Assist with regulatory change initiatives, audit requests and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Candidates studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA are encouraged to apply, although professional qualifications are not essential.
- Strong understanding of finance processes, controls and data management.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyse and reconcile large datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and present complex information clearly.
- Comfortable working in a deadline-driven and highly controlled environment.
- Proactive approach with a genuine interest in improving processes, reporting quality and operational efficiency.
- Exposure to reporting automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI or similar would be advantageous but is not essential.
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience, plus benefits.
