Financial Planning & Analytics Analyst

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary-to-Permanent

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused FP&A Analyst to join a well-established and growing multi-site organisation. This position will play a key role in driving business performance, supporting commercial decision-making, and delivering high-quality data insights across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyse trading and commercial performance on a regular basis


• Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement


• Produce accurate, timely, and insightful reports for senior stakeholders

Commercial Support

• Support pricing and promotional analysis aligned to business objectives


• Partner with key internal functions to drive informed decision-making


• Assist in monitoring and improving overall profitability

Margin & Cost Analysis

• Review cost and margin data to ensure alignment with targets


• Investigate discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations


• Support ongoing financial performance tracking

Operational Performance

• Analyse performance across multiple business areas and locations


• Identify opportunities to optimise performance and efficiency


• Support initiatives to improve stock, cost, and operational control

Business Improvement & Projects

• Provide analytical support for strategic and operational projects


• Contribute to continuous improvement in reporting and processes


• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across outputs

Reporting & Visualisation

• Develop and enhance reporting tools and dashboards


• Improve automation and accessibility of key data insights


• Align outputs to wider business objectives and stakeholder needs

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


• At least 2 years’ experience in an analytical or finance role


• Strong analytical capability with experience handling complex datasets


• Confident communicator with the ability to present to non-finance stakeholders


• Highly organised with strong attention to detail


• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
