We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Field Systems Support Engineer specializing in Electrical \& Controls to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of supporting and maintaining complex electrical systems and control solutions across various field sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical and control systems, empowering our clients to achieve maximum efficiency. Projects

This is a hands\-on role involving maintenance, fault finding, breakdown support and system integration, with projects covering power systems, battery sites, substations and road tunnel infrastructure.

You will work as part of a service and maintenance team responsible for supporting systems across a large network of infrastructure sites, including 26 road tunnels.

Responsibilities

• Provide on\-site technical support for electrical and control systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.


• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical components to minimize downtime.


• Assist in the installation, calibration, and maintenance of electrical equipment and control systems according to project specifications.


• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and system upgrades to uphold safety standards and operational excellence.


• Offer exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, understanding their needs, and providing timely solutions.


• Document all service activities accurately in reports, including system configurations, repairs performed, and recommendations for future improvements.

Skills

• Reviewing electrical schematics and layouts.


• Strong mechanical knowledge to understand system components and facilitate troubleshooting.


• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control tasks.


• Ability to read and interpret detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.


• Solid background in electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting within industrial or commercial settings.


• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem resolution.


• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems combined with electrical expertise enhances overall support capabilities.
