FIELD SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 OTE
Location: Manchester & Surrounding Areas - Field Based
Hours: Mon-Fri (08:30-16:30)
Benefits: Uncapped Commission + Company Car

This is a fully field-based role, so you'll spend the majority of your working week out on the road, visiting independent retailers and retail customers across your territory.

You'll inherit an established portfolio of customers, giving you the opportunity to start earning commission from the outset, while also developing new business and growing sales across your area.

This would suit someone who enjoys being out meeting customers face-to-face, building strong relationships and working independently to maximise sales across their territory.

What you'll be doing

• Managing an established territory across Manchester and the surrounding areas


• Spending your working week out on the road visiting customers face-to-face


• Taking ownership of an existing customer base of approximately 500-550 customers


• Building strong relationships with independent retailers


• Taking orders and maximising sales across the company's product range


• Identifying opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and introduce new products


• Developing new business within your territory alongside growing existing accounts


• Making approximately 30-40 customer calls per day alongside regular face-to-face visits


• Working to monthly sales and product targets


• Managing your territory effectively across a structured three-week customer cycle


• Keeping accurate records of customer activity, orders and sales performance


• Working independently while remaining closely connected to the wider sales team

• Previous experience within sales, field sales, business development or account management


• Confident building relationships with customers and business owners


• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to increase sales


• Comfortable working to sales targets and KPIs


• Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your own territory and diary


• Confident working independently and spending the majority of your week travelling between customer sites


• Previous FMCG, wholesale, retail sector experience would be advantageous but isn't essential


• A full UK driving licence is essential

You'll take over a well-established customer base, meaning there is already significant sales activity within the territory from day one.

Commission is earned against sales and product targets, with a sliding commission structure that rewards higher performance. With an established customer base to work from, there is strong potential to begin earning commission quickly and increase your earnings as you grow the territory.
