Field Sales Representative
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Field Sales Representatives to grow our presence across an assigned territory. You will be the face of our brand in the field — building strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key accounts while driving distribution, shelf presence, and sell\-through of our FMCG portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales \& Revenue Growth
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within your territory
• Grow numeric and weighted distribution across assigned accounts
• Identify and convert new business opportunities including new outlets and channel expansion
• Negotiate listings, shelf space, and promotional activity with store managers and buyers
Account Management
• Manage and develop relationships with key retail accounts, wholesalers, and independent traders
• Conduct regular call cycles to priority outlets in line with call frequency plans
• Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly, escalating where necessary
• Ensure orders are placed accurately and delivered on time in collaboration with the logistics team
Merchandising \& Brand Execution
• Ensure optimal shelf positioning, planogram compliance, and share of shelf for all SKUs
• Execute in\-store promotional activations, POS placements, and seasonal campaigns
• Monitor and report on competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
• Maintain brand standards across all touchpoints within the territory
Reporting \& Administration
• Submit accurate daily call reports, sales data, and visit notes via CRM system
• Provide weekly territory performance summaries to the Regional Sales Manager
• Maintain up\-to\-date account profiles, contact details, and opportunity pipelines
• Manage territory budget including trade spend, samples, and expenses within approved limits
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
• Minimum 2 years' field sales experience, ideally within FMCG, food \& beverage, or consumer goods
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong understanding of retail trade channels (grocery, convenience, wholesale, foodservice)
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a consultative sales approach
• Self\-motivated, well\-organised, and comfortable working independently in the field
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel extensively within the territory
• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Desirable
• Experience with planogram execution and merchandising standards
• Familiarity with FMCG category management principles
• Exposure to trade marketing or promotional planning
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field
