Field Operations Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Field Operations Manager to oversee a team of approximately 15 engineers across the West region.

This role is a mixture of office\-based and on\-site work, requiring strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills to ensure engineers are operating safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting a team of around 15 field engineers


• Carrying out regular site audits and inspections


• Conducting PPE audits and toolbox talks


• Reviewing and approving holiday requests


• Managing disciplinary and performance\-related matters


• Reviewing and approving weekly timesheets


• Booking and coordinating engineer training


• Providing technical support and operational guidance to engineers


• Ensuring health \& safety standards are maintained across all sites


• Acting as the main point of contact between field engineers and management

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in: Roller shutter installation and repairs, Automatic door installation, servicing, and repairs


• Previous experience managing field\-based engineering teams


• Strong understanding of health \& safety procedures and compliance


• Experience carrying out audits, toolbox talks, and site inspections


• Excellent organisational and leadership skills


• Ability to manage disciplinary procedures professionally


• Strong technical and fault\-finding knowledge


• Good IT and administrative skills


• Full UK driving licence

Pay: £40,000\.00\-£48,000\.00 per year
