Field Care Supervisor
About the Role
Roberts Care is looking for an experienced and dedicated Field Care Supervisor to join our team. This is a key operational role supporting the quality, safety and consistency of care we deliver to clients in their own homes across our community.
You will be the vital link between our clients, Care Workers and the office team — carrying out quality assurance visits, supervising and mentoring Care Workers in the field, and making sure our care plans are followed and our standards are upheld.

What You'll Be Doing
Care Quality \& Practice
- Carry out quality assurance visits and spot checks to monitor care delivery and adherence to care plans.
- Observe practice in the community and give constructive, professional feedback to Care Workers.
- Identify and promptly escalate risks, safeguarding concerns, missed care or changes in client needs.
- Participate in client assessments, service reviews and care plan updates as required.
- Provide day\-to\-day supervision, support and mentoring to Care Workers out in the community.
- Carry out new carer introductions and support visits to reinforce Roberts Care standards.
- Identify training needs and competency gaps and escalate these appropriately.
- Help Care Workers build confidence, capability and accountability in their roles.
- Build positive, professional relationships with clients and their families.
- Listen to feedback and ensure care remains responsive to individual needs and preferences.
- Support client reviews by feeding back observations about wellbeing and changing needs.
- Support and complete medication competency observations, with findings accurately recorded.
- Escalate medication errors, missed prompts or unsafe practice immediately.
- Record and escalate Adult Support and Protection concerns and risk indicators on the same day.
- Ensure all field documentation is completed accurately, clearly and on time.
- Support the team's compliance with Care Inspectorate, SSSC and contractual requirements.
- Participate in the on\-call rota, including out\-of\-hours and weekend cover when required.
- Deliver care calls in emergencies or to cover rota gaps when needed.
- Support the management team with quality reporting and inspection preparation.
Essential
- Experience working in domiciliary care, care at home, community care or a similar care setting.
- A solid understanding of safe care delivery and person\-centred support.
- Able to observe practice, identify concerns and reinforce care\-plan requirements.
- Strong communication skills — confident working with clients, families, Care Workers and managers.
- Reliable, calm, fair and practical — with good professional boundaries.
- Ability to complete clear, accurate records using electronic care systems.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Participation in the on\-call rota may be required, including out\-of\-hours and weekend cover.
- Previous experience in a senior care, field supervisor, team leader or quality assurance role.
- Experience completing spot checks, service reviews or medication competency observations.
- Familiarity with Birdie or a similar care management platform.
- Experience contributing to incident follow\-up or complaint learning processes.

Pay: £27,000\.00\-£29,000\.00 per year
