UCL Mathematical and Physical Sciences employs nearly 700 members of academic and technical staff and 128 professional services staff. The Faculty Office is located on the main UCL campus, enjoying the benefits of a central London location. The Faculty Research Coordinator will join the MAPS Operations team in the Faculty Office.

About the role
------------------

The Faculty Research Coordinator will provide operational support for Research activities across the Faculty of MAPS and will act as primary point of contact for staff interested in research activities. Working closely with the Vice Dean (Research) in delivering the Faculty research aims by contributing to the development and implementation of strategies and processes to enhance research output and promote collaborations between disciplines, external partners and industry. The post holder will collaborate with academic and professional colleagues supporting the identification and growth of impact activities and supporting the REF 2029 Impact Case Study drafting.

Please note this is a fixed\-term role until 6th August 2027\. This post will be offered as a Secondment to UCL internal candidates.

About you
-------------

The post holder will be educated to A level standard (or equivalent) or have acquired equivalent vocational/commercial knowledge and experience of working in this area. They will have knowledge and experience of research funding and related issues, financial administration and / or research grant management. The role holder will be able to develop effective relationships with colleagues, researchers at all levels of seniority and with external agencies and be able to work both collaboratively and independently.
