We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Factory Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of manufacturing facilities. In this vital role, you will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot machinery issues, and implement preventive measures to maximize equipment uptime. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability across all plant operations. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on factory equipment, including mechanical systems, electrical panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve machinery malfunctions promptly to minimize production downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments as needed to maintain equipment integrity.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations and operational data.
- Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting workflow.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and inspections for compliance and continuous improvement purposes.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Support customer service initiatives by ensuring machinery operates at optimal performance levels.
- Proven experience in factory or industrial maintenance roles with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands\-on knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics interpretation.
- Skilled in welding techniques and mechanical repairs within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated electrical experience including troubleshooting control panels and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and documentation.
- Prior experience in maintenance planning, safety compliance, and customer service is advantageous.
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
