Overview We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations within a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead a team of welders and fabricators, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety requirements are consistently achieved.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong fabrication and welding background looking to progress within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities • Manage and coordinate day-to-day workshop operations

• Supervise and support a team of welders and fabricators


• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to engineering specifications


• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans


• Allocate workloads and monitor productivity across the shop floor


• Maintain high standards of quality control and workmanship


• Support production planning and delivery schedules


• Order, organise, and manage materials and stock levels


• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and company policies


• Assist with training and development of workshop personnel


• Liaise with management and other departments to ensure smooth operations

Experience & Skills Required • Previous experience in a Fabrication Supervisor or Workshop Supervisor role

• Strong fabrication and welding background within an engineering environment


• Experience with mild steel and aluminium fabrication


• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings


• Strong leadership and team management skills


• Excellent organisational and communication abilities


• Hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example


• Knowledge of health & safety regulations within manufacturing/workshop environments


• Forklift licence or additional engineering qualifications beneficial but not essential

Qualifications • Engineering or fabrication-related qualification preferred

• Welding/fabrication certifications advantageous
