Job Summary
The F\&B Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage outlets (restaurant, bar \& room service) ensuring exceptional guest service in line with Holiday Inn and IHG brand standards. This role supports the management team in driving revenue, maintaining quality standards, supervising staff, and delivering a memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities Operations Management
- Supervise day\-to\-day operations of restaurant, bar \& room service.
- Ensure smooth service delivery during shifts, maintaining efficiency and high\-quality standards.
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with health \& safety regulations.
- Conduct pre\-shift briefings and ensure staff are aware of daily targets, promotions, and service priorities.
- Ensure all outlets operate according to Holiday Inn and IHG brand standards.
- Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest complaints promptly, professionally, and in line with hotel procedures.
- Engage with guests to gather feedback and build positive relationships.
- Ensure guests receive a friendly, prompt, and personalized service experience.
- Supervise, train, and motivate F\&B team members (servers, bartenders, hosts).
- Assist with staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and shift allocation.
- Provide on\-the\-job coaching and support to enhance team performance.
- Ensure team compliance with grooming, uniform, and brand presentation standards.
- Support the F\&B Manager in achieving revenue targets and controlling costs.
- Monitor sales performance, upselling initiatives, and average spend per guest.
- Minimize waste and ensure efficient stock usage.
- Assist in stock counts, inventory management, and ordering processes.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
- Maintain strict hygiene standards across all food and beverage areas.
- Ensure safe working practices and report hazards immediately.
- Assist with daily banking, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels and operational reports.
- Support audits, inspections, and brand compliance checks.
- Previous experience as an F\&B Team Leader or Supervisor in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Experience in branded hotel operations (IHG experience preferred but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of food \& beverage service standards.
- Relevant food safety certification (e.g., Level 2 Food Hygiene).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Problem\-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Customer\-focused mindset with attention to detail.
Pay: £13\.00 per hour
