We are looking for a kind, fun, and exciting teacher to join us in our Prep Room in September!

We are all 3 and 4 years old and love exploring, learning, creating, building, singing, painting, storytelling, and playing outside in all kinds of weather. We need a teacher who will help us become confident, curious, and ready for “big school”.

Are you a passionate, creative, and nurturing teacher who believes learning should be filled with awe, wonder, and muddy puddles?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to join our wonderful Prep Room team, working with our curious and energetic 3–4 year olds as they take their exciting first steps towards school readiness.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who truly understands the magic of early childhood and can create inspiring learning experiences that spark imagination, confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. It is a full\-time position (40 hours per week, usually across 4 days, Monday–Friday) working 51 weeks of the year.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a qualified teacher who:

  • Has a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Is passionate about supporting children’s school readiness in a fun, meaningful, and child\-centred way

  • Values the importance of outdoor learning and can create exciting opportunities both inside and outside the classroom

  • Can build strong links with our Reception class to support smooth transitions into school life

  • Has excellent behaviour management strategies and can foster positive, nurturing relationships with children

  • Understands the importance of developing independence, confidence, communication, and social skills

  • Builds warm, professional, and positive relationships with parents and carers

  • Is a team player with a positive attitude, creativity, and a good sense of humour!
The Role

As part of our Prep Room team, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high\-quality learning experiences in line with the EYFS

  • Create a stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can thrive

  • Support children’s emotional wellbeing and individual development

  • Encourage curiosity, exploration, and active learning through play

  • Work closely with colleagues, families, and the wider school community

  • Help prepare children for a confident and successful transition into Reception
Additional Curriculum Enrichment
  • Work collaboratively alongside our specialist Music, Pottery, and RE teachers to enrich and enhance the children’s learning experiences and wider curriculum opportunities.

  • Support children in accessing a broad, creative, and engaging curriculum that encourages curiosity, self\-expression, and confidence.

  • Value the importance of specialist teaching in developing children’s cultural awareness, creativity, and love of learning.
