Extrusion Operator
We're working with a well-established manufacturing business that has built a reputation for quality, consistency and long-term investment. Operating within a continuous production environment, they have created a stable workforce with a strong focus on training, safety and employee retention.
Due to continued growth, they're looking to strengthen the team with an experienced Extrusion Operator.
Extrusion Operator Duties
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for running and monitoring extrusion lines to ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Setting up and operating blown film extrusion machinery
- Monitoring production processes and adjusting where required
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet specification
- Troubleshooting minor process issues to minimise downtime
- Completing production documentation accurately
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure efficient shift handovers
- Previous experience operating extrusion machinery within manufacturing
- General extrusion experience will also be considered
- A good understanding of quality and production standards
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work a continental shift pattern
- £30,000 basic salary
- Overtime opportunities with typical OTE around £40,000
- 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 3 days off shift pattern
