Experienced Operations Manager

Whiteriver Group is a long\-established Irish business operating in the flooring, doors, decking, cladding and related building products’ sectors. Based in Dunleer, Co. Louth, the business has grown significantly and is continuing to invest in people, systems, facilities and customer service.
We are now recruiting an Operations Manager to take ownership and lead the operations at our Dunleer site, including customer service, warehousing, facilities and championing customer satisfaction.
The Role
This is a senior role within our Management team for someone who is customer\-centric, has a proven track record in developing and delivering in a structured environment. They will bring energy and accountability to a busy and growing operation with a continuous improvement mindset.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive a consistently excellent service, while also improving internal processes, warehouse performance, communication and day\-to\-day operational standards with a focus on developing the team around them.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead and manage:
Health \& Safety
- Working with the H \& S Lead, build on the safety culture and maintain HSA compliance.
- Oversee customer service and support the team in delivering a best\-in\-industry standard of service that meets our customers’ expectations.
- Master Sales Order Efficiency and Accuracy, Communication, and Customer Success.
- Build a culture where the customer experience is owned and valued at every touch point.
- Lead warehouse operations to improve stock accuracy, operational efficiency, productivity and service levels.
- Work with and develop warehouse teams to embed improved picking, loading, stock handling and dispatch processes.
- Develop agile and competitive transport channels to maximise Customer satisfaction
- Support the continued development of systems, procedures and performance reporting.
- Take ownership of the Dunleer site from an operational and facilities perspective.
- Ensure the workplace is safe, organised, professional and well\-maintained.
- Support space planning, signage, safe working, security and general site standards.
- Identify areas where service can be improved and lead practical improvement projects.
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, finance and senior management to resolve operational issues.
- Develop KPIs and reporting around service, accuracy, complaints, response times and warehouse performance.
- Build strong communication between departments.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, customer service or distribution.
- Proven track record in strong people management and leadership skills.
- A practical, hands\-on approach with the ability to improve processes.
- Excellent communication and problem\-solving ability.
- Experience managing teams in a busy commercial environment.
- A passion for satisfying Customers and a determination to improve standards.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems would be an advantage.
