Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and client\-focused Event Coordinator to join our established and growing catering business. This is a fast\-paced, hands\-on role focused on delivering exceptional weddings, corporate events, and private functions from initial enquiry through to successful event delivery.

The ideal candidate will be confident liaising with clients, coordinating event logistics, and managing multiple events simultaneously, with a passion for hospitality, food, and creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the event planning process

  • Liaise closely with clients to confirm event details, dietary requirements, guest numbers, and timings

  • Coordinate and finalise table plans, catering schedules, and service logistics ahead of events

  • Manage event timelines and ensure all catering operations run smoothly on the day

  • Coordinate waiting staff and front\-of\-house teams during events

  • Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure seamless event execution

  • Respond promptly to enquiries and maintain excellent client communication throughout

  • Prepare proposals, menus, quotations, and event documentation tailored to client requirements

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with venue partners, suppliers, and corporate clients

  • Support the planning and attendance of wedding fairs and industry events

  • Liaise with the Marketing Manager to promote the business and showcase our catering services

  • Maintain accurate records of client communications, bookings, and event details

  • Support event setup and delivery where required to ensure high service standards are maintained

Requirements
  • Previous experience within events, hospitality, catering, or wedding coordination preferred

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously

  • Excellent communication and client relationship\-building skills

  • Confident coordinating logistics and managing event operations in a fast\-paced environment

  • Professional, proactive, and solutions\-focused approach

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms

  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events and fairs

  • Passion for hospitality, food, and delivering outstanding customer experiences
