Evening Operations Manager
Froyle Park \| £34,000 per annum \| Full\-Time Fixed\-Term Contract
Froyle Park is looking for an experienced and confident Evening Operations Manager to join our team for the busy wedding and events season.
This is a senior, guest\-facing role suited to someone with experience in weddings, events, venue operations or high\-end hospitality. You will be responsible for leading evening operations, delivering excellent customer service, liaising with suppliers and ensuring events run smoothly, safely and in line with venue rules.
The successful applicant will have 5\+ years of relevant hospitality experience.
Froyle Park is a dry\-hire wedding venue, so the role does not involve direct food or drinks service. The focus is on venue operations, supplier management, guest experience, compliance and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior operational point of contact during evening events.
- Deliver excellent customer service to couples, guests, clients and suppliers.
- Lead and support a small evening team of 1–3 staff members.
- Liaise with external suppliers, including caterers, bar providers, musicians, DJs and production teams.
- Ensure suppliers and guests follow venue procedures, timings and rules.
- Oversee key event transitions, evening receptions and end\-of\-night close\-down.
- Maintain high venue standards and ensure the property is respected.
- Enforce venue rules, licence requirements and house policies professionally and diplomatically.
- Ensure compliance with the venue’s Noise Management Plan.
- Manage guest behaviour where required.
- Complete close\-down procedures, handover notes and incident reports.
We are looking for someone calm, organised and confident in a live\-event environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in weddings, events, venue operations, hospitality or event management.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Confidence leading a small team.
- Experience working with external suppliers.
- A professional approach to enforcing rules and managing difficult situations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem\-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late finishes.
- Experience in a licensed venue or dry\-hire events would be beneficial.
This is a 40\-hour per week role, with working days based around the venue’s event schedule.
Typical event shifts are usually 5:00pm to 1:00am, although some flexibility may be required depending on event timings and operational needs.
Contract, Salary and Long\-Term Opportunity
- Salary: £34,000 per annum
- Contract: Full\-time fixed\-term contract until the end of October 2026
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: Froyle Park, Hampshire
- Start date: As soon as possible / by agreement
Our busiest season runs from approximately April to October, when the role is full\-time. During the quieter off\-season, from November to March, we still host events, but not usually at a level that supports a full\-time position every week. During quiet period, shifts offered are typically 2\-4 per week.
Our intention would be to continue working with the successful candidate on a freelance, per\-event basis during the quieter months, before offering a new full\-time seasonal contract from April to October 2027, and in future seasons thereafter.
