Role Summary
The Project Manager \& Network Operations – HPC / Flash Charging leads the end\-to\-end deployment and operational integration of BYD’s High\-Power Charging (HPC) / Flash Charging stations across the assigned country or region.
The role requires strong experience in large\-scale EV charging or similar infrastructure deployment, BESS integration, and an established network of installers, EPCs, and construction partners.
Deployment \& Execution
- Drive massive rollout of BYD Flash Charging sites, ensuring on\-time, on\-budget, and safe delivery.
- Coordinate all phases: permitting, civil works, electrical installation, grid connection, BESS installation, and commissioning.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and contractor performance across multiple parallel sites.
- Build and maintain a qualified national/regional partner network (installers, EPCs, civil\-works companies).
- Lead RFI/RFQ processes, negotiate contracts, and enforce BYD installation and quality standards.
- Implement standardized deployment methods to ensure speed, scalability, and repeatable quality.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for HPC chargers, BESS systems, site power design, and integration.
- Support engineering reviews (single\-line diagrams, load studies, grounding, communication systems).
- Provide on\-site guidance and troubleshooting during installation and commissioning.
- Oversee operational monitoring and ensure smooth integration of new stations into the live network.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with service partners to ensure high uptime.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, as\-built files, and commissioning records.
- Work closely with Real Estate, Engineering, Energy, Procurement, and Finance teams.
- Share field insights to improve deployment guidelines, BESS integration workflows, and future product designs.
- Ensure alignment with corporate best practices and regulatory requirements.
Must\-Have
- 5\+ years experience in deploying EV charging, BESS, PV, telecom, or comparable multi\-site electrical infrastructure.
- Proven delivery of large\-scale deployment programs (10–100\+ sites).
- Practical experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (design, installation, commissioning).
- Established network of local installers, EPCs, grid contractors, and construction companies.
- Strong technical knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, grid connections, civil works, and commissioning.
- Strong project\-management capabilities (PMP/Prince2 is a plus).
- Ability to travel frequently across the country/region.
- Experience with HPC chargers, liquid\-cooled systems, or substation\-level installations.
- Background in high\-growth deployment organizations (e.g., Tesla, Fastned, IONITY, Enel X).
- Knowledge of local permitting and utility requirements.
