- Grade 8 (£53,051 - £57,400 per annum)
- Full Time - 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2027

Are you an experienced project manager with a strong background in construction, estates, or property management? Do you have the skills to lead complex capital projects from concept through to completion while ensuring compliance, value for money, and exceptional stakeholder engagement?
Our client is seeking an Estates Project Manager to play a key role in the delivery of their capital investment programme and planned maintenance projects across their property portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, sustainability, and ongoing improvement of facilities that support frontline emergency services.
Working closely with the Estates Manager, you will lead the planning, procurement, delivery, and monitoring of a variety of construction and refurbishment projects. You will provide specialist advice on project management, contracts, procurement, compliance, and sustainability, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee construction capital projects, minor works, and major planned maintenance schemes across our client's estate.
- Develop project briefs, specifications, tender documentation, and contract requirements to support successful project delivery.
- Manage project budgets and expenditure, ensuring value for money and effective investment planning.
- Procure and manage consultants, contractors, and professional service providers through competitive tendering and framework arrangements.
- Act as our client's representative under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, ensuring legal compliance across projects.
- Monitor project performance and provide accurate reports on progress, budgets, risks, and compliance matters.
- Support the delivery of the Estates and Environmental Strategies, identifying opportunities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and best practice guidance relating to estates project management.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure project documentation, health and safety files, and statutory records are maintained and up to date.
- Undertake estate condition surveys and contribute to future investment and refurbishment programmes.
- Promote high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and contract management throughout all project activities.
- Degree in a construction-related discipline, or an HND/equivalent qualification supported by relevant construction project management experience.
- Recent experience managing construction capital projects
- Experience managing project and works budgets, including internal project accounts.
- Experience working autonomously and managing a varied workload independently.
- Experience of public procurement and managing commercial contracts for the delivery of works and services.
- Experience drafting technical specifications for construction projects.
- Experience chairing and managing meetings with a range of stakeholders.
