ENT Consultant – Radiofrequency Snoring Cessation Procedure \| Skin Medical, Manchester

Skin Medical is seeking an experienced ENT Consultant to join our clinical team on a sessional basis, initially one day per month, with the opportunity to increase sessions as the service develops.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant ENT Surgeon with an interest in snoring and upper\-airway obstructionto provide a specialist radiofrequency snoring cessation procedure within our modern, fully equipped CQC\-regulated theatre in central Manchester.

The Role

The successful candidate will assess suitable patients suffering from snoring and perform radiofrequency snoring cessation treatment, using controlled radiofrequency energy to treat the soft palate.

The procedure is designed to reduce excessive or obstructive soft\-palate tissue and associated vibration, helping to increase the available airway and reduce the physical factors contributing to snoring.

The role will include:

• Conducting clinical consultations and assessing suitability for treatment


• Performing radiofrequency snoring cessation procedures targeting the soft palate


• Using radiofrequency treatment to reduce soft\-palate obstruction and improve airway patency where clinically appropriate


• Providing appropriate patient counselling, informed consent and post\-procedure care


• Identifying patients who may require further ENT investigation or alternative treatment


• Maintaining comprehensive clinical records and procedure documentation


• Working within Skin Medical's CQC governance framework and clinical protocols


• Working alongside our experienced nursing and clinical support team

The initial commitment will be one day per month, with the potential to develop the service and increase the number of sessions as demand grows.

Essential Requirements:

• GMC registration with a licence to practise


• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Otolaryngology


• Consultant\-level ENT experience


• Experience in the assessment and management of snoring and upper\-airway obstruction


• Experience with radiofrequency treatment of the soft palate or comparable ENT radiofrequency procedures


• Appropriate medical indemnity


• Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical governance and excellent patient care
