Jigsaw Creative Care is recruiting for two services in the Reading area. We are looking for thoughtful, skilled colleagues who build trusting relationships, engage well and proactively understand and support each person’s needs and challenges through good autism practice.

The opportunitiesEnhanced Senior Support Worker
This key role is part of Jigsaw’s senior leadership team. Working on shift across services as needs arise, you will model excellent practice, build rapport and support transitions and periods of crisis. You will coach and mentor colleagues, provide supervision and debriefs, and help teams deliver skilled, consistent support. Strong leadership, sound judgement and a calm, person\-centred, trauma\-informed approach are essential.
Support Worker opportunities
We are looking for calm, resilient people with excellent engagement skills who are proactive, enabling and empowering, and respond thoughtfully when someone is finding things difficult. The service\-specific opportunities are below.
Tilehurst service
Join a new solo\-occupancy service in Tilehurst. We are looking for experienced colleagues with autism and learning\-disability knowledge who can build rapport, support regulation and respond skilfully and proactively when someone is distressed or facing challenges. The team will be predominantly male; female colleagues with the right experience will also be considered. Shifts include day, evening and sleep\-in patterns.
Young women’s service near Junction 11 of the M4
This service is on the edge of Wokingham and Reading, near Junction 11 of the M4\. It supports young women with autism. We want colleagues who are great at engagement and can help each person build healthy routines, enjoy a good quality of life and grow and develop safely.
Who we are looking for
· Experience and a genuine understanding of autism and learning disabilities; relevant mental health experience is also valued.
· A warm, respectful and engaging manner, with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate clearly.
· Confidence supporting people through distress or challenge using proactive, skilled and consistent approaches.
· A commitment to person\-centred, trauma\-informed support that promotes safety, choice, independence and quality of life.
· For the senior role, substantial relevant experience is important. A relevant qualification is desirable, but experience, aptitude and leadership skills matter most.
