Engineer Software Tool Development (m/f/d)
You develop and maintain internal software solutions for the structural design of wind energy systems, particularly towers and foundations, primarily within the Siemens NX environment. Working closely with structural and calculation engineers, you translate complex engineering requirements into robust software solutions. Your contribution ensures efficient, standards\-compliant, and practical engineering tools.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- You develop, maintain, and enhance internal software tools for the design and engineering of wind turbine tower and wind turbine tower internals, primarily within the Siemens NX CAD environment.
- You maintain and further develop internal software tools for the design and engineering of wind turbine towers and tower internals, primarily within the Siemens NX CAD environment.
- You design and implement complex algorithms for civil engineering applications, with a focus on steel and concrete structures.
- You develop, optimize, and maintain standalone applications with graphical user interfaces to enable efficient use by engineers.
- You design software solutions around technical calculation models and integrate them into existing tool environments.
- You collaborate closely with structural, and IT experts to translate requirements into functional software.
- You provide user support, perform error analysis, and drive the continuous improvement of existing applications.
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
- Strong knowledge of software development and software design, particularly Clean Code, architectural principles, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
- Good knowledge of version control systems, especially Git.
- Experience with development platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitLab, including pull request workflows.
- Knowledge of automated testing, particularly unit and integration testing.
- Strong programming skills in Python, knowledge of C\+\+ is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CAD software, ideally Siemens NX; experience with Teamcenter or CAD automation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of PyQt/Qt as well as C\#, .NET Core, or ASP.NET is an advantage
