The team of Power, Control and Telecommunications comprise engineering experts for Electrical Power, Telecoms and Signalling. We support our Operations, Economic and Safety colleagues assuring a safe, economic and reliable railway.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer \- Digital Signalling, the role is primarily dealing with holding infrastructure managers (IM’s) such as Network Rail and HS1 to account for the asset management of conventional signalling systems during the transition to Digital Signalling. Opportunities to work with industry to help shape the progression of signalling systems. Working with other ORR departments to provide expert opinion during investigations and Periodic Reviews and be a key part of the Infrastructure Authorisation process.

Additional Information

At ORR, our hybrid working means that we currently work from our workplace location a minimum of 40% of our working week, although requirements to attend other offsite locations for official business, also count towards this level of attendance. Working arrangements are subject to continuous review.

Qualifications

HND in an engineering discipline or ability to demonstrate equivalent industry qualifications.### Memberships

Working towards CEng or an industry\-equivalent professional registration, or membership of the IRSE or an equivalent professional engineering institution (e.g. IET).### Behaviours
