We're Hiring \- Part\-Time Mechanical Engineer (WAKEFIELD)

Humber Entrance Systems Ltd are seeking a mechanically minded individual to join our team on a part\-time basis.

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Hours: Approx 16 hours per week (2 days) overtime available
Start date: 10th July 2026
Interviews: Week commencing 29th June 2026
Wage: from £14 per hour (higher rates depending on experience)

The role:
You will work alongside an experienced engineer at one main site in Wakefield, assisting with maintenance, servicing, fault finding and repairs. You'll learn the ropes, gain experience and may later travel to other sites with the team as you develop.

Key Responsibilities:
\- Assist with planned maintenance and servicing
\- Mechancial repairs and fault finding
\- Safety inspections and reporting
\- Support the senior engineer in day\-to\-day tasks

What we're looking for:
\- Strong mechanical aptitude
\- Practical, hands\-on skills
\- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
\- Ability to work independently and in a team
\- Basic understanding of electrical systems is beneficial but not essential

Physical requirements:
\- Comfortable working at height (ladders, access equipment)
\- Working in confined spaces/ loading bay pits
\- Occasional work in cold\-store environments
