Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking compassionate and proactive Endoscopy Assistants to join our dedicated team in the Endoscopy Department. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a caring and dynamic environment where the patient always comes first.

As an Endoscopy Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of exceptional care within a fast\-paced, specialist environment. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will assist qualified nursing and medical staff in the Endoscopy Unit—helping to ensure each patient receives compassionate, high\-quality and holistic care from arrival to recovery.

You’ll be actively involved in both clinical and operational aspects of the service, including preparing and maintaining treatment areas, aiding in patient observation and comfort, and managing specialised equipment for endoscope decontamination. This role demands attention to detail, a strong sense of responsibility and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control.

You’ll be part of a team that’s passionate about delivering exceptional service. Whether you're gaining experience in healthcare or looking to take the next step in your career, we provide a supportive setting to learn, grow and make a difference.

We are an award\-winning NHS Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically\-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National NHS Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ NHS\-run hospital in the East Midlands.
