Empregada Doméstica – Tempo Inteiro / Housekeeper (Full-Time)

Location: Cascais, Portugal
Salary: €1,200 – €1,500 / month (depending on experience)

We are seeking a reliable, warm, and highly experienced Nanny/Housekeeper to join our family in Cascais. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands\-on experience caring for babies and young children, strong organizational skills to support daily household routines, and a commitment to a long\-term role.

Hours \& Schedule

• Total Working Hours: 39 hours / week


• Monday – Friday: 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM *(includes a 1\-hour meal break; 7 working hours/day)*


• Saturday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM *(4 working hours)*


• Holidays: Standard working days expected; major international holidays off *(Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, etc.)*.

Key Responsibilities

• Dedicated Childcare: Primary care, developmental engagement, safety, and routines for babies and toddlers (feeding, changing, sensory play, outdoor walks).


• Housekeeping \& Laundry: General daily household cleaning, maintaining tidy living spaces, and light ironing (e.g., adult shirts, dresses, baby clothes).


• Kitchen Support: Basic food preparation (e.g., washing and chopping vegetables, preparing simple snacks or baby meals, light kitchen tidying) — *no full dinner cooking required*.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with babies and small children.


• Language: Fluent or strong English speaker to ensure smooth communication with the family.


• References: Valid, verifiable references from previous families required.


• Logistics: Must reside locally or have reliable transportation to commute independently to Cascais.


• Work Status: Legal authorization to work in Portugal.


• Key Attributes: Highly dependable, warm, proactive, trustworthy, and safety\-conscious.
