Employment Tax Manager

Rutherford Briant are recruiting an Employment Tax Manager for a leading accountancy and business advisory firm in Reading.
This is a varied position offering exposure to employment tax advisory, transactions and employee reward work across an impressive and diverse client base. You will join a friendly and ambitious tax team where you can take ownership of client relationships, work closely with experienced senior colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the service.
What you will do:
- Advise clients across a broad range of UK employment tax matters, including PAYE, National Insurance, benefits, salary sacrifice, employment status and off-payroll working
- Support clients with transaction-related employment tax matters, employee incentives and share-based reward arrangements
- Manage a combination of advisory projects and recurring compliance work
- Build strong client relationships and become a trusted point of contact
- Work closely with colleagues across tax, corporate finance and wider advisory services
- Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and contribute to the growth of the service
- Review work, share technical knowledge and support the development of junior colleagues
- Monitor legislative developments and explain their practical implications to clients
You will have practical employment tax experience gained within an accountancy firm, specialist consultancy, HMRC or a relevant in-house environment.
You may already be operating at Manager level or be an experienced Assistant Manager ready to take the next step. ATT and/or CTA qualification would be ideal, although ACA or ACCA-qualified candidates with strong employment tax experience will also be considered.
You will also bring:
