Are you an experienced and inspiring Emergency Department nurse ready to step into a key leadership role? We are looking for a dynamic Senior Sister / Charge Nurse to help lead our Emergency Department team and shape the delivery of high\-quality, safe, and compassionate care.

As a pivotal nursing leader within the Emergency Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that clinical excellence, patient safety, and quality care are consistently delivered in a fast\-paced environment.

Working as part of a supportive and forward\-thinking senior nursing team, you will:

Lead from the front , setting high standards of clinical care and professionalism

Drive quality and safety , ensuring compliance with local and national standards

Support, supervise, and develop staff , fostering a positive and high\-performing team culture

Champion best practice , using your expertise to continuously improve patient outcomes

Contribute to workforce development , helping to enhance recruitment and retention within the department

We are seeking a confident, compassionate leader who thrives under pressure and is passionate about emergency care. You will bring:

Proven experience in Emergency Department nursing

Strong leadership and decision\-making skills

A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care

The ability to inspire, develop, and support others

A proactive approach to improving services and staff experience

To provide professional leadership through clinical expertise to the department staff.

To be the lead on nursing issues relating to Trust and local agendas.

Required to be responsible for the day to day organisation and management of the department, including the supervision of staff and the teaching of students.

To continue development of management skills and experience.

To promote and facilitate the implementation of the RUH Nursing strategy:

a) Reviewing nursing practice and implementing appropriate changes based on research/best practice;

b) Developing and implementing Audit, Quality and Risk Management initiatives.

6\. To develop and support junior staff through effective monitoring and mentoring, and reflective practice.
