Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d) in the field of Technology and Innovation
Your contribution

• Develop embedded software for our mechatronic products across the full lifecycle: requirements, architecture, implementation, and testing


• Evolve the software architecture and expand functionality for supported hardware, peripherals, and kinematics


• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation projects from prototype to production


• Collaborate closely with cross\-functional development teams in Germany

Your strengths

• Educational qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field


• Experience: Initial hands\-on experience in embedded software development


• Technical skills:

+ Confident use of an object\-oriented language, ideally C\+\+
+ Basic knowledge of software engineering principles and version control (e.g., Git)

• Personality: Team player with a genuine passion for new technologies, creative problem\-solving, and a hands\-on approach to product development


• Languages: Spanish and English; German is a plus

Background:

The Software and Electronics department develops and maintains critical components of the SCHUNK product family:

• Electronics modules for mechatronic\-based grippers


• Firmware development, software testing and validation


• Cross\-platform tool development (Windows, Linux, iOS, Android)


• Robot plug\-in software for seamless integration with collaborative robots (UR, KUKA, ABB, and more)


• All functions from hardware abstraction up to end\-user tool features are developed SCHUNK internally
