Taskmaster Resources Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, electrically biased role focused on fault finding, diagnostics, and maintaining automated production equipment to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical fault finding on production machinery and control systems

Maintenance and repair of PLC-controlled equipment (diagnostics and basic modifications)

Working with control panels, wiring, sensors, relays, inverters, and motors

Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) with a strong electrical focus

Diagnosing faults on automated systems and production lines

Responding quickly to breakdowns to reduce downtime

Supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and machinery

Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Ensuring all work complies with electrical safety standards and site procedures

Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports

Working Environment:

Fast-paced manufacturing setting

Exposure to noise, dust, and industrial conditions

Hands-on role involving standing, movement, and occasional lifting

Requirements:

Strong electrical background within manufacturing or industrial maintenance

Proven experience with PLC fault finding (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley – desirable)

Experience with motors, drives (VFDs), sensors, and control systems

Relevant electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

17th or 18th Edition (preferred)

Good level of English (spoken and written)

Flexible and reliable approach

Desirable:

Basic mechanical knowledge

Experience within automated or heavy manufacturing environments

IOSH or health & safety certification

Knowledge of Lean / continuous improvement practices

Working Hours:

Initial: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

After probation: Rotating shifts (06:00 – 15:00 / 08:00 – 17:00 / 13:00 – 22:00)

This is a temporary assignment with an opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs
