Role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Chemical Processing Facility
A position for a Electrical Maintenance Engineer in a chemical processing / applied coatings facility has come available. Primarily, this is a maintenance / shop floor support based role, ensuring production equipment is maintained to the relevant standards and equipment downtime is kept to a minimum as well as ensuring new projects are completed in a timely manner. This role will involve working closely alongside the Engineering Manager.
The Role:
- *Complete electrical installations to the correct standard .*
- *Monitor current production equipment with respect to efficiency and required maintenance frequencies.*
- *Complete necessary preventative maintenance schedules with the aim of implementing industry best standards.*
- *Fault finding and diagnosis on any breakdowns.*
- *Procurement and spare parts / components management.*
- *General fitting of factory equipment such as pumps / controllers / production equipment*
- *Supervision and coordination of site contractors ensuring compliance to company procedures as well as industry standards where applicable*
- *Assist in the installation of CapEx facilities*
- *Advise other managers as to the current condition / performance of production processes and supporting equipment such as extraction systems, safety interlocks and the like*
The candidate shall be ideally qualified and experienced working to BS7671 18th edition, although we are happy to support training to the aforementioned standard where sufficient experience can be evidenced
The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in a manufacturing environment, having an understanding of such businesses and the key involvement of maintenance activities.
Familiarity with PLC control systems would be advantageous as we operate a number of PLC control systems including; Schneider, Siemens and Eurotherm Nanodac.
The role involves working with hazardous chemicals, so previous experience or knowledge is beneficial, although training will be given.
Pay: £35,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
