Electrical Authorising Engineer

You will be working in the Infrastructure OU based in St Neots in where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.
We are currently looking for a Electrical Authorising Engineer (Interim) who will assure electrical safety governance across operations and projects.
As the Electrical Authorising Engineer (Interim), you will
- Assess and appoint LV Authorised Persons; evaluate subcontractor competence and advise on procedures.
- Deliver AP initial and renewal training; deliver Competent Person training and briefings.
- Lead electrical accident/incident investigations and produce reports; liaise with H&S and leadership.
- Review electrical certification and ensure auditability and close-out of non-conformances.
- Provide auditing and training support to other operating units and frameworks as required.
- Support the development and continual improvement of the Safety Management System to meet legal and client requirements.
- Provide robust line management and professional leadership, holding individuals to account for performance, competence and conduct where these impact electrical safety and governance.
- Qualified HV Authorising Engineer
- LV Authorising Engineer
- Inspection & Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent) and NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent H&S qualification)
- Experience commensurate with acting as an AE across LV and HV environments within a safety-critical infrastructure context.
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) statu
