Location: Workington WWTW, Siddick road, Workington, Cumbria, CA14 4NW, United Kingdom
Length of Contract: 6-month rolling
Salary: £40.115 (based on a 37-hour week Monday to Friday).
Overtime paid out at 1.5 for any hours over 37 and OR Saturdays
Pay is weekly
Duties:
To provide an efficient Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance and repair service, thus ensuring the optimal availability of water assets, whilst at the same time keeping within budget and quality parameters.
To implement an efficient Electrical and Instrumentation (E/I) maintenance and installation service in order to achieve the quality, performance and safety standards of the Company.
To analyse faults, rectify and ensure correct operation of Electrical, Instrumentation and systems-based equipment, thereby optimising the availability of water assets
To perform planned and proactive maintenance activities to ensure asset availability and efficient operation.
To ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations and internal company policies
Ensure any identified critical or strategic spares are identified, maintained and available to use.
Qualifications:
A time served apprenticeship or equivalent, supported with academic qualifications ideally to HNC or minimum ONC equivalent in a relevant technical area.
Ensure that throughout your career that the required skills competence and recency in all relevant subject matter are maintained.
A valid driving licence. Skills:
Ability to work in a team but also alone, be resilient, self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and possess the required technical competence
.Able and willing to diversify into specialised areas of maintenance, as required, such as but not limited to chlorine gas systems and high voltage installations
Diagnostic, organisational, planning, communication and computer skills.
