Responsibilities
--------------------

• Conduct risk assessments and implement effective hazard control measures using practical and engineering solutions


• Provide day\-to\-day EHS support across operations, quality, warehousing, and construction activities


• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation, permits, and standards


• Support safe systems of work, including permit\-to\-work and high\-risk activities


• Contribute to the development and maintenance of EHS and Environmental Management Systems (ISO standards)


• Monitor environmental aspects such as emissions, wastewater, waste management, and resource use


• Participate in incident and near\-miss investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions


• Conduct EHS inspections, audits, and track performance metrics to drive improvement


• Deliver EHS training and promote a strong safety and environmental culture


• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to integrate EHS into operations and projects

• Third level qualification (minimum NFQ 8\) in EHS, Engineering, or Science discipline or equivalent


• Strong experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment


• Knowledge of risk assessments and EHS management systems


• Experience supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives


• Familiarity with regulatory bodies (e.g., HSA, EPA, local authorities)


• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Practical problem solving and risk awareness


• Good technical understanding of safety and environmental systems


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Attention to detail and organizational ability


• Continuous improvement mindset
