We are seeking experienced and HCPC-registered Educational Psychologists to support the delivery of high-quality psychological advice for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNAs).
This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Educational Psychologists looking for a highly flexible locum assignment with the freedom to determine their workload and working pattern.
The Opportunity As a Locum Educational Psychologist, you will be responsible for producing psychological advice as part of the EHC needs assessment and annual review process. You will work collaboratively with education professionals, families and multi-agency partners to support children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

- Produce high-quality psychological advice and written reports within agreed timescales.
- Contribute to annual review processes where required.
- Work collaboratively with schools, settings, families and professionals.
- Apply psychological theory and evidence-based practice to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Fully qualified Educational Psychologists.
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experienced in delivering high-quality psychological advice for EHC Needs Assessments.
- Knowledgeable regarding SEND legislation and statutory assessment processes.
- Able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong communicators with excellent report-writing skills.
- An Honours Degree in Psychology, recognised teaching qualification, classroom teaching experience and a Masters qualification in Educational Psychology; or
- An Honours Degree in Psychology together with a Doctorate in Educational Psychology and significant experience working with children, young people and families.
- Experience completing statutory EHC assessments.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high professional standards.
- Experience working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
