We are looking for a committed and resilient Educational Support Worker to join our Post 16 team, supporting learners with Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs to re\-engage with education, develop independence and achieve positive futures.

The role:

This is a highly relational, student facing role, where your ability to build trust and support behaviour is key. This role is largely 1\-2\-1

You Will:

  • Support an allocated student with social emotional and behavioural needs using a calm, consistent approach.

  • Work alongside tutors to support learning across academic, vocational and enrichment activities.

  • Deliver and contribute to individual behaviour and support plans.

  • Help learners develop confidence, resilience and independence.

  • Support transitions into and through post 16 education.

  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement

  • Support off site learning, work placements and enrichment opportunities.
You will play a vital role in helping learners overcome barriers, make positive choices and prepare for adulthood.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with young people with SEMH or behavioural needs.

  • Understands trauma informed and relational approaches to behaviour.

  • Is calm, resilient and able to respond positively in challenging situations.

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with young people

  • Is flexible, proactive and solution focused

  • Has strong communication and organisational skills.

  • Is committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for young people.
