Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Mentor to support the academic and personal development of young learners. This role involves working closely with children and teenagers, providing guidance, encouragement, and tailored educational support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and mentoring, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. Responsibilities

  • Provide one\-on\-one support with students' academic progress and personal growth

  • Work with personalised learning plans tailored to individual student needs and abilities

  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages confidence and motivation

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor student progress and address any challenges

  • Organise engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional well\-being

  • Support students with special educational needs by adapting strategies and resources accordingly

  • Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and behavioural observations
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of working with children with diverse needs, including special educational requirements

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for youth development and education

  • Organised with the ability to plan engaging activities and manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Maths and English GCSEs \- grade 4 or above.

  • Driving license required
This role offers an enriching environment where you can contribute positively to young people's futures while honing your skills in mentoring and education. Our working day is 9\-3 and you will pick learners up in the mornings, bring them to site and supervise and engage them throughout the day before dropping them home. You will be supported at site by your line manager and teaching staff and students will take part in on and off site activities.
