Job Title: Education Manager
Location: London
Reports to: Director/Owner
The Education Manager will oversee the academic integrity and operational success of Best Tuition Point Limited. You will be responsible for ensuring that our tutoring programs are effective, our tutors are performing at their peak, and our students are hitting their milestones. You aren't just managing schedules; you are managing the quality of our educational "product."
Key Responsibilities \& Duties
1\. Academic Leadership \& Quality Control
- Curriculum Oversight: Review and refine tutoring materials to ensure they align with current national standards and exam board requirements.
- Assessment Management: Design and implement initial assessment tests for new students and regular progress tracking for existing ones.
- Quality Audits: Conduct periodic "drop\-ins" or reviews of tutoring sessions to ensure the Best Tuition Point standard of excellence is met.
- Recruitment: Lead the hiring process for new tutors, including vetting subject matter expertise and teaching style.
- Onboarding: Train new staff on company policies, digital tools, and pedagogical techniques.
- Performance Reviews: Hold regular 1\-on\-1s with tutors to provide feedback, resolve grievances, and encourage professional growth.
- Consultations: Act as the lead consultant for parents, helping to map out a bespoke educational plan for their children.
- Progress Reporting: Ensure parents receive high\-quality, actionable feedback reports on a regular basis.
- Conflict Resolution: Step in as the primary point of contact for any academic concerns or complex student needs.
- Resource Allocation: Match the right tutor to the right student based on personality, learning style, and academic need.
- Growth Support: Work with the Director to identify new subjects or service areas (e.g., 11\+, GCSE, A\-Levels) to expand the business.
Requirements \& Qualifications
- Educational Background: A University degree is essential. A teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in the education sector (teaching or tutoring), with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills. You must be able to speak authoritatively yet empathetically to parents.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using management software, CRM tools, and online learning platforms.
- Compliance: Deep understanding of safeguarding practices and DBS requirements
